North Scarle Parish Council are a newly formed Council having taken over from a dissolved Council in October 2025.

The Council is made up of members all of which have senior management experience in the commerce sector. We are a progressive Council looking to build back the community spirit that the village seems to have lost over recent years. In 2002 the village was voted best kept village, and it is the new Councils aspiration to get the village back to that level of achievement.

North Scarle is tucked away between the A46 and the river Trent laying equidistant between Newark & Lincoln. It has become a very different village over recent years with the addition of new residential housing bringing new younger blood to the village. We have an excellent thriving Primary school to cater for this together with an exceptional tennis facility and bowls club. It also has a village pub which is the beating heart of this rural gem.

Members of the Council are all open to question, and we invite any thoughts and ideas from parishioners. As an example, we start our Parish Council meetings with an informal coffee and cake session for 30 minutes where residents are encouraged to come and chat openly to us. We do this largely in an attempt to break down barriers of formality and move away from the old-style hierarchical approach. It is our aim to move forward with agenda items at pace while maintaining adherence to our Standing orders and policy.
