Minutes of a meeting held on 20 May 2015

Annual Parish Council Meeting - 20th May 2015 7.30p.m.

in Church Hall North Scarle.

 

Pre-meeting - for all Councillors to sign acceptance of office forms, election reforms, expenses and  declaration of interest forms. All were completed prior to the meeting.

Present

Councillors - Mr D Russell - Mr C Dixon - Mrs B Baker - Mr A Walsh - Mr D Jennings - Mr R Honey  Mrs L Nearn -  Mrs B Wells Clerk and District Councillor, also four parishioners.

Election of Chairman

It was proposed and seconded that Mr David Russell be elected Chairman. There were no other nominations therefore Mr D Russell was elected.

Election of Vice Chairman

It was proposed and seconded that Mrs Lindsay Nearn be elected Vice Chairman. There were no further nominations therefore Mrs L Nearn was elected.

The following representatives were elected:

Playing Field   -  Mr R Honey

Previous minutes were read.

A number of points were raised including Mill Farm Cottage. A request to go to NKDC for a report on this matter in writing.  Action - BW

Highways to be asked for a traffic survey on Chapel Lane and Swinderby Road.

A visit to be requested from Highways to bring us up to date on a number of issues .Action - BW

Correspondence  - Training

7p.m. on 8th June at North HykehamTown Council 

9th June at Sleaford

11th June at Navenby

Letter of thanks has been received from Lincoln CAB for the donation

Financial items

End of Year  balance  -   £31618.00

Bank statements required each month, no need to return used cheques.

Land Rents received

Some allotment rents are still outstanding, one change of allotment and one person on the waiting list.

Pay Accounts 

Eon   -  £ 139.05

BT    -  £ 36.26

It was proposed, seconded and agreed to pay these cheques and the monthly cheques were endorsed.

Parish Items

Heap of soil on dyke bank near Church Lane Bridge. This to be reported and asked for explanation, it could be the Environmental Agency or N.A.I.D.B   Action BW

The meeting closed at 8.03 p.m. the Chairman thanked everyone for attending.
