OPEN SESSION –

Police report of one incident in North Scarle since the last meeting in May, criminal damage to a vehicle on Eagle Road.

MINUTES OF LAST MEETING – minutes were approved and signed as a correct record

MATTERS ARISING

Speed Safety – Cllr David Russell has spoken to the team to see is there was any permanent equipment that we could have on Chapel Lane and Swinderby road. He has requested the costs of the equipment. ACTION D RUSSELL – to call highways to arrange a survey of the speed though the village.

Meadow Lane – This matter is going to trail as both the land owner and occupier pleaded not guilty at Lincoln Court. Cllr D Russell spoke to North Kesteven District Council regarding the case the likely outcome would be they will be prosecuted and fined.

Road Closures – Cllr D Russell called regarding some concerns for the road closures in North Scarle and surrounding villages as it will mean increase of traffic down School Lane. He was ensured that the traffic will not be directed down School Lane.

CORRESPONDENCE

We have received a letter from Anglian Water asking if we have any private pumping stations in the Parish, if so they will now be taking over them.

Sage Gardener Project have emailed their information regarding the planning and opening day at Eagle Barnsdale – this was read out and to be put up in Notice Boards.

The grass outside the old people’s bungalows and on South Scarle Lane will no longer be cut by the District Council after April 2017.

Road closures – Hives Lane 20/07/2016 – 22/07/2016

PLANNING

Partial demolition of 2 agricultural buildings at Mill House Farm, Eagle Road, North Scarle – No comments from the councillors on this.

FINANCE

The internet banking forms to be signed once again by all signatories, Cllr C Dixon to complete form at the meeting, other councillors to complete at a later date.

PARISH ITEMS –

Cllr D Jennings asked about the 3 near fatal accidents and pointed out the road markings at the end of Chapel Lane and Spalford Road are not very visible. ACTION – D RUSSELL TO SPEAK TO HIGHWAYS

Cllr D Jennings asked about moving the soil near the bridge on School Lane, suggestions were made to move and spread the soil out so there isn’t a mound.

Cllr D Russell suggested that we should paint the telephone box to make it look more attractive in the village.
